Adding Probiotics Plus To Your Daily Diet Leads To Healthier Living
Did you ever stop to consider how bacteria can be an ally during the onslaught of each annual flu season? Whenever a person contracts a cold or flu-like condition, the body’s immune system weakens. This can make a person susceptible to a variety of illnesses including vaginal yeast and other urinary tract infections as well as many different forms of fungus infection.
Modern diets have become the enemy of healthy human digestive tracts. Before the Industrial Revolution produced the creation of processed food, most diets throughout the world contained natural foods that helped aid in maintaining a balance in the body between bad bacteria and the occurrence of “friendly” types known as probiotics. These probiotics were found throughout the world in fermented foods like sauerkraut or in yogurt-like substances. Almost every culture on the planet produced such foods. Good health – and life longevity – were the hallmarks of all Asian cultures where consumption of fermented foods like pickled cabbage, cucumbers, onions, squash and other vegetables helped maintain this all important bacterial balance in the body’s digestive system.
The very modern food processes, such as pasteurization, that allow the production and longer shelf life for many foods, have killed off the naturally occurring good bacteria making the choice to add a daily probiotics plus supplement an important nutritional decision.
Why?
There exist other modern-day factors leading to the need to consider a probiotics plus daily supplement. Ever increasing daily stress and environmental influences like air pollution have helped cause a great imbalance in the immune system of the modern-day human. The simpler agrarian existence of our ancestors has given way to a more complex way of life today with all its accompanying harmful effects. Did you know that research scientists have discovered that approximately 80 percent of the human immune system exists in the body’s intestinal tract?
There are more than 500 million types of bacteria living in the human body and we host about one hundred trillion inside each of us. These compete for not only space, but nourishment as well. When the bad bacteria are triumphant, sickness and ill feeling occur. However, when good bacteria, like probiotics plus, are introduced, that 80 percent of the human immune system gains a valuable boost.
So what do you need from probiotics plus that will help boost your immune system?
As mentioned earlier, probiotics plus supplements contain “good” bacteria that have, ironically, been wiped away from our systems through modern food safety and other cleanliness needs regulated by many governments. Thus, there’s a need to replace these “friendly” bacteria that are helpful, like Bifidobacterium lactis, normally found in yogurt, that helps stimulate a variety of immune responses. Plus there exist other good bacteria like Lactobacillus acidophilus that combat acid in the intestines, and more.
There are a number of probiotics plus supplements offered through a variety of traditional and online sources for today’s nutrition – and health – conscious consumer to consider. Each of these products provides the introduction of a variety of friendly microorganisms that will produce healthy results in the body’s intestinal tract and thus increase one’s immune system, guarding against sicknesses such as colds and flus.
As with anything medical, consult your family doctor before taking any nutritional supplement.
